The lead. India's RTI Act is Central law, but information often lives at the state level. Each state has its own Information Commission, fee, portal, and Public Information Officer designations. This pillar links to all 36 state hubs and the 900 scheme-specific guides we have built.

Why this matters

A passport file is held by a Central authority (RPO/MEA). A land record is held by your state revenue department. Filing the wrong one wastes 30 days. Use this hub to find the right state guide before drafting.
