2. Sign up + verify — Mobile + email OTP.
3. Choose Trade Licence application — Phrasing varies: “Trade Licence”, “Health Licence”, “Storage Licence” by trade type.
4. Fill business details — Trade type (manufacturing/storage/retail/service), capacity, employees, premises area, ownership.
5. Upload documents — PAN, Aadhaar, premises proof (sale deed / rent agreement), property tax receipt, NOC from owner (if rented), zoning certificate, BIS / pollution NOC (specific trades).
6. Pay fee online — Rs 500-5,000/year by trade category + locality + area. Calculator on portal.
7. Submit + receive ARN — Track at municipal portal.
8. Inspection (some trades) — Restaurants, manufacturing, storage of inflammables — health inspector visits.
9. Issuance — 7-30 days. Display licence at premises (mandatory).
10. Renewal annually — Renew before 31 March (some cities: 30 days before expiry). Late = penalty + re-inspection.

• Zoning conflict — residential zone cannot have commercial trade. Apply for zone change OR shift premises.
• Owner NOC missing (rented premises) — Get from landlord on Rs 10 stamp paper. Without NOC, not issued.
• Police NOC for sensitive trade (cyber café, second-hand, internet, liquor) — apply parallel to local police.
• Renewal lapsed — penalty + may need fresh application. Inspect premises again.
