PMAY Status Check 2026 — Gramin and Urban 2.0
Quick answer: PMAY-G — search your registration number at awaassoft.pmayg.dord.gov.in or browse the panchayat list on report.pmayg.dord.gov.in. PMAY-U 2.0 — apply and track on pmaymis.gov.in. The two schemes do not share a database. If the file is stuck, RTI goes to the BDO (rural) or Municipal Commissioner (urban).

Frequently asked questions
Which portal do I use in 2026?
Rural: pmayg.dord.gov.in. Urban 2.0: pmaymis.gov.in. pmayg.nic.in is dead.
Can I check with mobile number only?
Rural public search is registration number, Aadhaar or the panchayat list. Mobile is for OTP on logged-in correction, not a public search key.
How long after sanction does the first instalment come?
There is no single all-India day-count on the portal. Track the FTO on the same record. If the geo-tag of the previous stage is missing, the next FTO often waits.
Is the beneficiary list secret?
No. Subsidy lists are public under §4(1)(b). A panchayat extract cannot be refused only on “privacy”.
My urban application is on the old MIS. Do I re-apply under 2.0?
CLSS is closed. BLC / AHP under 2.0 is a new window with its own MIS login. Do not assume an old assessment ID moves automatically — confirm at the ULB.
Who do I appeal to if the BDO does not reply to RTI?
File a first appeal under §19(1) to the First Appellate Authority in the same rural development / ULB office, within the time in your state rules.
