When to call

Payment failed but money debited

Wait 24h for auto-refund. If not received, email with bank statement screenshot.

Registration number lost

Email helpdesk with name + email + approximate filing date. Recovery in 2-3 days.

Application status "not updating"

PIO may not have logged action. File §6(3) reminder OR escalate to first appeal.

Cannot register / OTP not received

Try alternate mobile. Persistent issue: switch to postal RTI temporarily.

If the helpline does not resolve — file an RTI

Helplines often log a complaint without solving it. RTI gives you the file noting + officer name + actual reasoning, and most stuck cases clear within 7-15 days.

1. Status of my complaint / application no. _____ dated _____ as on date.
2. Name + designation of the officer assigned to my file.
3. Reasons for delay beyond the statutory timeline.
4. Copy of any noting / movement of my file in the past 30 days.
5. Likely date of resolution.
