Documents required for Udyam (MSME) registration (2026)

- Aadhaar of authorised signatory — Mandatory; Proprietor (sole proprietorship), Partner (firm), Director (company)

- Classification limits (2026): Micro: Investment ≤ Rs. 1 cr + Turnover ≤ Rs. 5 cr · Small: ≤ Rs. 10 cr + ≤ Rs. 50 cr · Medium: ≤ Rs. 50 cr + ≤ Rs. 250 cr.
- MSME benefits unlocked: priority sector lending, govt tender preference (25% set-aside), TReDS access, late-payment dispute resolution under MSMED Act §15-23.
- One Udyam per Aadhaar — only one allowed per individual.
- Aadhaar-PAN linkage mandatory since 2023.
