• eKYC pending — annual eKYC mandatory; instalments freeze without it.
• Aadhaar not linked to bank (NPCI mapping) — DBT bounces. Visit bank.
• Land record name mismatch — Aadhaar vs Bhulekh. Update one to match.
• Exclusion category (IT taxpayer, govt employee) — verified ineligible. Refund + cancellation.
• Land seeded but ownership disputed — Patwari report under family/joint name.

1. Check status at pmkisan.gov.in — Beneficiary Status → see reason: “eKYC pending”, “Aadhaar de-mapped”, “Land seeding pending”, “Excluded”.
2. Do eKYC immediately — pmkisan.gov.in → eKYC → Aadhaar OTP. If OTP fails: biometric eKYC at CSC (Rs 25).
3. Re-link Aadhaar to bank (NPCI mapping) — Visit bank with Aadhaar. Bank submits to NPCI. 2-3 days for activation.
4. Land record name fix — Apply mutation correction at Tehsildar OR update Aadhaar to match Bhulekh. Aadhaar update via myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in (Rs 50).
5. If excluded category disputed — Appeal to State Nodal Officer with proof: latest IT return showing not a taxpayer / non-govt employment cert.
6. If land ownership disputed — Submit family settlement deed / partition cert; fresh Patwari verification.
7. RTI to Block Agriculture Officer — For: rejection rationale, Patwari report, exclusion criteria applied. Use the ready PM-Kisan RTI sample application to draft it.
8. CPGRAMS parallel — pgportal.gov.in → category Agriculture → PM-KISAN. Time-bound disposal.

• Fee: Free at all stages.

• Latest IT return / non-govt employment cert (if exclusion disputed)

Government rejection orders often lack actual rationale. RTI brings out the file noting + officer name + actual basis — and that visibility usually resolves the case. Use this template:

1. Copy of the rejection order + complete file noting on application no. _____ dated _____.
2. Name + designation of the officer who took the rejection decision.
3. Specific Section / Rule / Circular under which rejection was made + supporting evidence relied upon.
4. Number of similar applications in the past 12 months that were (a) approved, (b) rejected — for the same officer.
5. The procedure + timeline for filing an appeal + the office of the appellate authority.
