Documents required for PM-KISAN registration (2026 checklist)

Direct answer. PM-KISAN is open to all landholding farmer families with cultivable landholding. Documents: Aadhaar + land record (khasra/khatauni) + Aadhaar-linked bank account + eKYC (mandatory since 2022). Register at pmkisan.gov.in or any CSC.

Mandatory documents

  • Aadhaar — Identity + eKYC base
  • Land record (khasra/khatauni) — Issued by Patwari/Talati; confirms cultivable landholding
  • Aadhaar-linked bank account passbook — For DBT of Rs. 6,000/year (3 instalments)
  • Bank account-Aadhaar linkage proof — Print from bank or NPCI mapper
  • Citizenship declaration — Self-declaration on form
  • Mobile number — For OTP-based eKYC and notifications
  • Photograph — Recent passport-size, white background

Optional / situational documents

  • Caste certificate — For SC/ST priority in some state-level top-ups
  • Disability certificate — For PwD farmer special considerations
  • Soil health card — Optional but useful for related schemes
  • Crop pattern declaration — Some states require

Specifications + key rules

  • Eligibility: All landholding farmer families. Disqualified: income tax payers (any of last 2 AYs), pension > Rs. 10,000/month, constitutional post-holders, professionals.
  • eKYC mandatory since 2022 — must be done annually. Three options: OTP-based (free, instant), Biometric at CSC (Rs. 15-50), Face-auth via PM-KISAN mobile app (free, instant).
  • Land record linking — Patwari uploads your khasra to PFMS; without this, no payment.
  • Family = one person per family unit (defined by ration card / family register).
  • State top-ups: Karnataka, AP, Telangana, Odisha add Rs. 4,000-12,000/year extra.
