Track your MP & MLA — the complete guide (2026)

The lead. Every Indian voter has the right to know what their elected representative does in Parliament. RTI Wiki tracks all 540 Lok Sabha + 241 current Rajya Sabha members with full official records, photos, contact details, term-end dates, and ready RTI templates per MP.

The MP/MLA Tracker

🏛 Open the tracker — searchable by name, state, party, gender. Two tabs:

  • Lok Sabha (540) — by constituency, district lookup
  • Rajya Sabha (241 current) — by state, party, term-ending year, ministers, leaders

For each MP, the tracker shows:

  • Wikipedia bio (222 of 241 current RS members; 494 of 540 LS members)
  • 3 ready RTIs per MP — Sansad attendance, MPLADS funds, ECI affidavit

The 3 RTI templates per MP

  1. To Sansad Secretariat — attendance, questions asked, supplementaries asked, committee meeting attendance
  2. To MPLADS implementing agency — funds released, works completed, works pending, beneficiary details

Data is pulled from:

  • Rajya Sabha: rsdoc.nic.in/MemberGetData/getmemberall (NIC official directory)
  • Lok Sabha: sansad.in/api_ls/member (NIC backed)
  • Wikipedia: REST API for neutral bios + photos (222/241 RS hits; 494/540 LS hits)

Every MP has a permalink at `/tools/mp-mla-tracker.html?house=rs&mp=<slug>` or `?house=ls&mp=<slug>`. Sharing brings the user directly to that MP's card with everything expanded.

Why parliamentary scrutiny matters

Your MP votes on every law that touches your life. Your MLA controls the state laws that govern your land, education, police. RTI is the only legally guaranteed way to track them.

  • Filing an RTI on MPLADS funds routinely surfaces ghost projects.
  • Filing an RTI on MP attendance + comparing with public statements catches no-show MPs.
  • Filing an RTI on MP-recommended works finds where your tax money goes.
