e-Shram Card Status Check 2026 — Download + Schemes You Qualify For
Quick Reply: e-Shram card status check 2026 — verify on eshram.gov.in, download UAN-linked card, schemes you qualify for. RTI escalation if benefits stuck.
Quick answer. e-Shram is the Government of India's National Database of Unorganised Workers — over 30 crore workers registered as of 2026. To check your e-Shram card status: open eshram.gov.in → Already Registered → Update / Download UAN Card → enter your UAN (12-digit) + Aadhaar OTP → download. Active workers automatically qualify for: PM-SYM (pension up to Rs 3,000/month), PMSBY (Rs 2 lakh accident insurance), PMJJBY (Rs 2 lakh life insurance), PM Vishwakarma (skill credit up to Rs 3 lakh for traditional artisans). Status check is free and requires only your UAN + Aadhaar OTP. If linked schemes are stuck, file an RTI to your Labour Commissioner under §6(1) RTI Act 2005.

- Open eshram.gov.in.
- Click Already Registered in the top menu.

What information your e-Shram card holds
- UAN — Universal Account Number, 12 digits, unique to you.
- Personal details — name, father's name, gender, age, address.
- Aadhaar (masked).
- Bank account (linked, masked).
- Occupation code — primary occupation (carpenter / mason / domestic worker / agri labour / etc.).
- Skill level — primary, secondary skills.
- Monthly income range — declared at registration.
- Photo + thumb impression captured at CSC during registration.
Why your e-Shram benefits may be stuck
Reason 1 — Aadhaar-mobile not linked
The e-Shram dashboard requires Aadhaar OTP. If your Aadhaar isn't linked to a mobile, you can't access status. Solution: visit any Aadhaar Seva Kendra to link.
Reason 2 — Bank account not validated
Schemes (PM-SYM, PMSBY, PMJJBY) need a validated bank account for premium debit + benefit payout. Visit your bank to validate Aadhaar-bank seeding.
Reason 3 — Occupation code incorrect
Some scheme eligibility (PM Vishwakarma) is occupation-specific (only for 18 traditional artisan trades). If your occupation code is wrong, you may not appear in the eligibility list. Update at any CSC.
Reason 4 — Annual renewal pending
PMSBY + PMJJBY are 1-year insurance policies. If premium isn't auto-debited (because of low bank balance on June 1), the policy lapses. Top up your bank account by May 31 each year.
If your e-Shram card is showing wrong details
Step 1 — Update via portal
- At eshram.gov.in → Update Profile.
- Most fields (occupation, income range, address) are self-update.
- Aadhaar/name corrections need CSC visit.
Step 2 — File RTI to Labour Commissioner
If portal update doesn't propagate or scheme enrolment stays stuck, file an RTI:
To CPIO, Office of the Labour Commissioner, [Your State]
Subject: RTI under §6(1) — e-Shram scheme convergence
1. Reason my e-Shram UAN [number] is not enrolled in [scheme]./ > 2. Date my eligibility was last reviewed. > 3. Action plan + estimated date of enrolment. > 4. State-wide statistics on e-Shram → scheme convergence rate for FY 2025-26. Use RTI Drafter.
