Direct answer. ONDC is the government-backed open e-commerce network — alternative to Amazon/Flipkart. Buyers + sellers connect via different apps (any compliant app on either side). Commission 1–3% vs 25–30% on closed marketplaces. Best for artisans, SHGs, kirana stores, local restaurants.

  • Paytm, PhonePe, Pincode (small-biz focused), Magicpin, Mystore.

Seller apps

  • ONDC Seller App directly OR via aggregators: Mystore, eSamudaay, Loadshare (logistics).

How sellers join

  1. Visit ondc.org → “Become a Seller”.
  2. Pick a Seller App (free signup).
  3. Upload products with photos + GST + bank.
  4. Listed on ONDC network — visible to all buyer apps.
  5. Commission 1–3% on each sale.
