This verified Sarkari Result 2026 guide takes you to the recruiting authority—not a result-copying website—so you can find government-job results, admit cards, answer keys, cut-offs and merit lists without surrendering your registration details to an unknown intermediary. It also explains what each result label means and what to do when your record is missing or delayed.

“Sarkari Result 2026” is a search phrase, not the name of a Government of India department. It may mean a recruitment result, scorecard, answer key, cut-off, merit list, admit card or school-board result. The legally reliable version is always the record published by the authority that conducted the examination.

This page is an official-link directory and problem-solving guide. It does not copy changing vacancy counts or announce unverified result dates. A third-party site may help you discover an exam, but only the commission's notice, candidate login or signed PDF decides your status.

Use the body named on your application form or admit card. Do not assume that every government recruitment lives on a .gov.in address: IBPS and SBI use their own verified institutional domains. The safe test is whether the link is published by the recruiting authority itself, not whether a page uses the words “sarkari result.”

These results are often searched with “Sarkari Result 2026,” but they are not all government-job selections. Use the correct exam website:

Important distinction: a school-board result does not come from UPSC, SSC or an RRB. “10th Sarkari Result 2026” and “12th Sarkari Result 2026” searches should end on the relevant board's official result host, not a government-job aggregator.

For a state PSC result 2026, open the commission named on your application. This is the full state/Union Territory PSC directory used for this review. Some commissions put results under “Results,” others under “What's New,” “Downloads” or “Candidate Corner.”

Many state Group C, police, teacher and technical recruitments are conducted by a subordinate-services board rather than the PSC. Use the body printed on the notification.

Read the top of your notification, application confirmation or admit card. Find the full authority name and the exam identifier: for example, an SSC examination name, an RRB CEN number, an IBPS CRP code or a state commission advertisement number. The coaching channel that told you about the vacancy is not necessarily the conducting authority.

Use the links above or type the known official domain yourself. Do not click the first sponsored result. Check every character in the host before entering your date of birth, password or OTP. A government emblem, copied colour scheme or the words “official Sarkari Result” do not prove ownership.

One examination can have separate PDFs for prelims, mains, skill test, physical test, document verification and final recommendation. Confirm all four fields:

1. Exam name and year
2. Advertisement / notification / CEN / CRP number
3. Stage — written, PET/PST, skill test, DV, medical or final
4. Date shown on the authority's notice

If the result is a PDF, download it and search your roll number first. Names can repeat or be abbreviated. If the portal provides an individual scorecard, use the candidate login reached from the authority's own page. Never send a stranger your login or OTP to “check the result.”

“Qualified” can mean only qualified for the next stage. It may not mean selected for appointment. Read the footnotes, category, cut-off, document-verification requirement and next-stage schedule. If two official documents appear inconsistent, save both before contacting the helpdesk.

2. Browser address showing the official host
3. Result-notice date and notice number
4. Application/registration number and roll number
5. Admit card and fee receipt
6. Cut-off or category notice

The roll-number result and the name list were separate official documents on separate dates. A user searching “UPSC result 2026 PDF with name” before 18 June could wrongly conclude that the first result was incomplete. The safe answer was to follow the exam page and distinguish the two document types.

The UPSC Written Results page also lists multiple 2026 examinations. Always open the row for your exact examination; do not search a downloaded PDF from a similarly named exam.

Start with the least formal remedy that can actually fix the immediate problem.

1. Read the result notice, exam rules and latest corrigendum.
2. Use the official helpdesk printed in the notification or candidate portal.
3. Submit a dated representation or grievance and retain its acknowledgement.
4. If you need existing records—status, note sheet, rule, order, action taken, or a copy of your evaluated answer book—file RTI to the public authority that holds them.
5. If a deadline for objection, verification, DV or court remedy is running, follow that process on time. An RTI application does not pause the deadline.

Under the Right to Information Act, 2005, a citizen can request information held by or under the control of a public authority. For a government recruitment or public examination, useful record-based requests can include:

1. Current recorded status of your candidature
2. Copy of the order or note recording why your result/dossier was withheld
3. Copy of the rule, criterion or office order applied to your case
4. Dates on which your representation moved between offices
5. Action-taken record on your dated grievance
6. Your marks/score record where held and disclosable
7. Inspection or certified copy of your evaluated answer book, subject to the applicable record-retention position and lawful redaction
8. Aggregate, anonymised data such as category-wise cut-offs or vacancies, where held

Section 6(1) is the request route. If another public authority holds the information, §6(3) provides for transfer. The ordinary response period under §7(1) is 30 days. §10 permits exempt material to be severed while the rest is disclosed. A first appeal lies under §19(1) when no decision arrives in time or the reply is inadequate.

In Central Board of Secondary Education v Aditya Bandopadhyay, (2011) 8 SCC 497, the Supreme Court held that an examinee's evaluated answer book is “information” and may be inspected or copied under RTI, subject to the Act. Read the full judgment text. The ruling gives access to the record; it does not turn the RTI officer into a re-evaluator or automatically change marks. Use the examination body's review/challenge process for consequential relief.

Address this to the CPIO/SPIO of the authority that conducted the examination. Replace every bracketed field. Do not send your password, OTP, Aadhaar copy or unnecessary sensitive data.

For a central public authority listed on the service, file through RTI Online. Otherwise use the state RTI route or the mode published by the authority. • Searching only by name. Names repeat and PDFs may use initials. Search the exact roll number, then verify the name and category against your own record.
• Treating “qualified” as “appointed.” Read the stage and next-step instructions. A written-result PDF may lead only to PET, skill test, interview, DV or medical.
• Using a copied result page as proof. Save the recruiting authority's PDF or scorecard and URL. The official SSC homepage, for example, separates Admit Card, Answer Key and Result services.
• Assuming marks and name lists appear together. The real 2026 UPSC example above shows separate roll-number and name-list dates.
• Missing the objection or DV deadline while waiting for RTI. File the examination remedy first; RTI does not extend that deadline.
• Asking the PIO to explain or re-evaluate. Seek identifiable records and recorded reasons under the RTI Act, then use the correct forum for relief.
• Requesting other candidates' personal records. Ask for your own record, published lists, or aggregate/anonymised information. Request severance under §10 where appropriate.
• Sharing credentials with a “result checker.” No genuine helper needs your OTP. Reach candidate login only from the authority's domain.
• Believing an exact result date without an official notice. “Result kab aayega” answers are forecasts until the authority publishes a date or the result itself.
• Filing to the wrong body. UPSC, SSC, each RRB, IBPS, state PSCs, state selection boards and education boards are distinct authorities. Use the name on the notification.

There is no Government of India authority named “Sarkari Result.” The official website depends on the examination: UPSC for UPSC exams, SSC for SSC exams, the named RRB for railway recruitment, IBPS or SBI for bank recruitment, NTA for its tests, and the relevant PSC/selection board for state recruitment. A private aggregator may help discovery, but it is not the recruiting authority and should not receive your sensitive credentials.

Open the official link in your normal browser, match the notice number and download the result PDF or open the candidate login. Use the browser's “Find in page” function to search a PDF by roll number. If you lost the number, use only the authority's recovery process or your original confirmation email/SMS. Save the PDF and official address; avoid unlinked APKs and result-checking apps.

Open the official RRB directory through RRB Chandigarh and select the board named in your CEN. Railway results are zonal. A candidate who applied through RRB Bhopal, for example, should not assume a Chandigarh or Mumbai PDF covers that application. Match RRB, CEN, post and stage.

Use ssc.gov.in. Its official homepage provides separate quick links for Admit Card, Answer Key and Result. Read the result notice as well as the list: it explains the stage, cut-off, withheld cases and next action where applicable.

Use the UPSC Written Results page or the individual examination page. A roll-number list and a name list may be uploaded separately, as happened for Civil Services Prelims 2026. Check the document label and upload date before concluding that a name is missing.

Use IBPS CRP Updates for IBPS processes and SBI Recruitment Results for SBI recruitment. Match the CRP/recruitment title and cycle. Ignore messages asking for payment to release a score or allotment.

It means the authority has not released or finalised that candidate's result, often pending a document, eligibility check, court order, verification or another recorded reason. Follow the official notice/representation process first. RTI can obtain the existing reason, order or record, but it cannot itself re-evaluate marks or order selection; use the exam body's remedy for a change.

There is no single date. Every exam and stage has its own timetable. A date is confirmed only when the conducting authority publishes it. Check the exact exam's notice page and do not treat a coaching video, social post or private countdown as an official announcement.

Not necessarily. MPPSC results belong on mppsc.mp.gov.in. MP Police and other recruitments conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board belong on esb.mp.gov.in. The notification tells you which body controls your exam.

For CBSE, use results.cbse.nic.in or start from cbse.gov.in. For a state board, use the NIC Results Gateway and confirm the relevant board's official host. These are school-board results, distinct from government-job recruitment results.

Automated checks are evidence of reachability, not proof of a future result date. On 30 August 2026, 58 of the 63 directory links responded with a successful, redirected, access-controlled or rate-limited status consistent with an active site. These genuine official services did not respond normally from our checker:

• results.gov.in — connection timeout
• ctet.nic.in — connection/DNS failure during the check
• results.cbse.nic.in — DNS failure during the check
• AFCAT — HTTP 503 service unavailable
• HPSC — HTTP 500 server error

They remain official hosts. Use the parent authority link shown in the tables and retry. Never replace a temporarily unavailable official portal with a lookalike that asks for credentials or payment.
