Use NSDL or UTIITSL portal. Fee Rs 107 for correction. Aadhaar OTP eKYC available.

  • Aadhaar (most fields auto-update)
  • Marriage certificate (post-marriage name change)
  • Gazette notification (other name changes)
  • Birth certificate (DoB change)

Tips + common mistakes

  • Aadhaar-Based Correction is fastest
  • For name change post-marriage: marriage cert OR gazette
  • Photo signature requires re-upload
  • New PAN card by post in 15 days

If submitted form is rejected / delayed — file an RTI
