1. Download DigiLocker app (Play Store / App Store) OR visit digilocker.gov.in.
2. Login with Aadhaar mobile-OTP OR Mobile + 6-digit PIN.
3. Click “Issued Documents” — automatically pulls your driving licence, RC, PAN, Aadhaar, mark sheets if linked.
4. For new docs: click “Search Documents” → pick issuer (DL — your state RTO; PAN — Income Tax; etc.) → enter reference number → fetch.
5. Share documents via QR code or OTP-protected link.

• Sharing OTP — Aadhaar OTP is for you only. Never share with caller.
• Using fake DigiLocker apps — only the Aadhaar-Govt-of-India branded one. Verify in store.
• Disabling Aadhaar Lock when not needed — keep it ON; unlock only at the moment of biometric authentication.
• Storing Aadhaar QR/photo on social media — fraud risk.
• UPI fraud — paying instead of receiving — never click “pay” on a payment request from an unknown source. See UPI fraud recovery.
• Skipping ONDC for small business — Amazon/Flipkart take 25-30%, ONDC takes 1-3%.

Yes — IT Act §9A + DigiLocker Rules 2017. Government recognises DigiLocker-issued copies as equivalent to physical originals. Banks, RTO, exam boards, employers — all accept.

UPI 123Pay — works on feature phones without internet via IVR (call a number, select bank, transfer). UPI Lite also works offline for small amounts.

Online (via UIDAI): ₹50 for demographic updates. Aadhaar Seva Kendra: ₹50 for demographic, ₹100 for biometric updates. Mandatory free updates: child's biometric at age 5 and 15.
