Set up UPI

  1. Download any UPI app (GPay, PhonePe, BHIM).
  2. Login with phone number linked to bank.
  3. Set UPI PIN (different from ATM PIN).
  4. Send/receive money via mobile, VPA, or QR.

Call 08045163666 → IVR-based payment, no internet needed.

UPI Lite

Settings → UPI Lite → Enable. Top up ₹2,000. Use for < ₹500 instant offline.

Fraud protection

  • Never share OTP / UPI PIN.
  • Fraud → call 1930 within 24 hours.

If the formal channel fails, escalate via RTI

If a UPI or digital payment dispute with a government body isn't resolved through the regular complaint route, you can file an RTI to force the public authority to either act or explain in writing why they haven't. The fee is ₹10 (free if you're BPL).
