ATM, debit / credit card and locker

For ATM cash-not-dispensed, the RBI Master Direction on EBT requires auto-credit within T+5 working days; beyond that the bank owes ₹100 per day. Locker disputes fall under the RBI Safe Deposit Locker Revised Guidelines 2022 capping liability at 100× annual rent.

RBI complaints and the banking ombudsman

Loans, EMIs and recovery-agent harassment

Recovery agents are bound by the RBI Fair Practices Code on Recovery (2007, updated 2022) — no calls before 8 am or after 7 pm, no abuse. Cheque dishonour is Section 138 NI Act; loan-app harassment falls under BNS 351 (criminal intimidation).

KYC, frozen account, account closure

Frozen-account release runs on the RBI Master Direction on KYC. Re-KYC by branch visit or video-KYC. Section 102 CrPC / now BNSS lets police freeze accounts only with a written order.
