Frequently asked questions

Q1. Is registration required to file an RTI with the government?

No. The RTI Act, 2005 requires no RTI Wiki account. Registration unlocks RTI Wiki's advanced tools, not the right to file an RTI itself. You can also use the RTI Assistant without an account.

Q2. How do I reset a forgotten password?

Go to the password-reset page, enter your username or email, and we send you a reset link within a minute. If it does not arrive, check Spam / Promotions in Gmail. Still stuck? Email admin@bighelpers.in with your username.

Q3. How do I change my email address?

Log in, go to Profile, update the email field, and save. A confirmation link goes to the new address.

Q4. Is my email safe?

Yes. We do NOT sell email addresses. We do NOT send marketing. Only password resets and (if you opt in) the weekly digest.

Q5. Can I delete my account?

Yes — email admin@bighelpers.in with subject “Delete my RTI Wiki account” from your registered email. We remove the account within 7 days.

Q6. Will I get spam?

No. Only password resets and the opt-in weekly digest.

Q7. Is there a paid tier?

The website and existing tools stay free. The upcoming PIO / FAA CPD course is the first paid offering; registered users get early notice and an introductory price.

Q8. What if I just want to read?

Most articles are fully readable without registration. You hit a sign-up nudge only on the tools that produce certified output and on deep long-form PIO / FAA guides.

Q9. How do I join the RTI community discussion?

After logging in, head to the Forum — ask questions, share experiences, learn from others.
