Section 7 sets the disposal timelines: 30 days standard, 48 hours for life-and-liberty cases, and 40 days total where Section 11 third-party consultation applies. Section 7(6) — breach of deadline means the information must be provided free. Section 7(8)(i) — every rejection requires a reasoned written order citing the sub-clause and appeal rights.
