Yuva Nidhi Status Check 2026, Karnataka

Yuva Nidhi Status help desk scene

Quick answer: Track Karnataka Yuva Nidhi on sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in with your Application Reference Number. The official department page says domicile Karnataka candidates who completed a degree or diploma in 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 get unemployment allowance for two years: ₹3,000 a month for degree holders and ₹1,500 for diploma holders. Payment is DBT to an Aadhaar-seeded bank account. You must confirm you are still unemployed on or before the 25th of every month on Seva Sindhu, or the next month is not released.

If you only have 2 minutes: open Seva Sindhu, click Track Your Application, enter the reference number, then check your passbook for a Yuva Nidhi credit. If the status is approved but money is missing, confirm Aadhaar seeding and whether this month's declaration is filed. Draft RTI with the AI RTI Drafter if the file is silent. Read The RTI Playbook before you file.

What Yuva Nidhi is

Yuva Nidhi is the Government of Karnataka unemployment allowance for young people who have a degree or diploma and have not found work. The public scheme page is on the Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood Department site: kaushalya.karnataka.gov.in — Yuva Nidhi. Applications and tracking run through Seva Sindhu. The Department of Industrial Training and Employment (DITE) processes the register and the DBT.

Category Monthly allowance Maximum period
Unemployed graduate / degree holder ₹3,000 Two years
Unemployed diploma holder ₹1,500 Two years

The allowance stops earlier if you take a job, become self-employed, or enrol in further studies.

The current department page (English) states:

  • It is a Government of Karnataka scheme.
  • Domicile Karnataka candidates who completed graduation or diploma in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 get the allowance for two years.
  • Exclusions: candidates employed in government, government-aided or private sectors; candidates who are self-employed; candidates who are pursuing studies.

The DITE Guidelines for YUVANIDHI (hosted on itiemp.karnataka.gov.in) add process rules that still govern how the portal behaves:

  • Benefit is for candidates who remain unemployed even after 180 days of the degree / diploma. You may register on Seva Sindhu before 180 days; the allowance starts after that wait.
  • Domicile in the guidelines means you studied in Karnataka for at least 6 years up to the degree / diploma. Proof routes include SSLC + PUC + degree/diploma marks cards; or CET registration + degree; or ration-card issue date + degree; NIOS SSLC is also listed.
  • Bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded for DBT. Aadhaar must be linked to the mobile used on the portal.
  • You must give an undertaking to inform the department on becoming employed. False declaration, or failure to declare employment, leads to recovery of the amount paid and legal action.
  • Every month, confirm unemployed status on Seva Sindhu through Aadhaar-based OTP on or before the 25th. The next payment is released only after that declaration.
  • Funds move Government → Commissioner, DITE → Joint Director (Employment) as DDO → State DBT / Khajane. This is a state payment, not a Union PFMS scheme.

Later batches added 2024, 2025 and 2026 pass-outs on the kaushalya page. Always read the current batch notice on Seva Sindhu before you apply.

Am I eligible?

You should be able to show all of the following on the live form:

  • Domicile Karnataka, in the sense the current notice uses (guidelines: 6 years of study in the state)
  • Degree or diploma with passing year 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 as listed on the department page
  • Not employed in government, government-aided or private work
  • Not self-employed
  • Not enrolled in further study
  • Aadhaar-seeded bank account and Aadhaar-linked mobile

NAD / DigiLocker is how many degree certificates are verified. The guidelines ask universities to push certificates to NAD, and ask you to claim the certificate in DigiLocker before you register.

How to check application status

  1. On the homepage, use Track Your Application.
  2. Enter the Application Reference Number from the SMS / acknowledgement.
  3. Read the stage: submitted, under verification, approved, rejected, or pending documents.

If you have lost the number, log in on the Seva Sindhu services site with the registered mobile, open application history, and copy the reference. The English homepage is also at sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in/sevasindhu/english.

How to check payment

Approval and credit are different steps. “Approved” on Seva Sindhu does not mean this month's ₹3,000 / ₹1,500 has landed.

  1. Check the bank passbook or UPI history for a Yuva Nidhi / YN / state DBT credit.
  2. Confirm the account is Aadhaar-seeded and active. See Aadhaar status and seeding.
  3. Confirm you filed this month's unemployment declaration on or before the 25th.
  4. If approved, seeded, declared, and still no credit, see what to do when DBT money is not credited, then call the Yuva Nidhi helpline.

Do not treat pfms.nic.in as the primary tracker. Yuva Nidhi is paid on the Karnataka state DBT / Khajane path. PFMS is built for Union DBT.

The monthly declaration — do not miss the 25th

This is the step that stops many payments. The DITE guidelines say:

  • You must confirm every month that you are unemployed.
  • File the declaration on Seva Sindhu with Aadhaar OTP on or before the 25th.
  • The next payment is released only after that declaration is received.

On the services portal, look for the monthly unemployment self-declaration service, complete it, and keep the acknowledgement. Missing a month can withhold that month. Continuing to declare unemployed after you join a job is a false declaration: the guidelines say the amount will be recovered.

If the application is rejected

A rejection on Seva Sindhu usually carries a reason. Common official grounds:

  • Aadhaar mismatch or not linked to mobile
  • Domicile / 6-year study proof not accepted
  • Bank account not Aadhaar-seeded
  • Found employed, self-employed, or enrolled in a course
  • Applied outside the batch window, or still inside the 180-day wait for payment

Then:

  1. Correct the document and re-apply if the batch is still open.
  2. File a grievance in the Seva Sindhu grievance module.
  3. Call 1800-5999-918 — the number published by the Department of Industrial Training and Employment for Yuva Nidhi queries.
  4. Visit a Seva Sindhu centre with originals.
  5. File RTI with DITE if nobody will state the reason in writing.

Typical missed payment. Seva Sindhu shows Approved. The passbook is empty for this month. The applicant filed the first declaration, then forgot the 25th deadline. File this month's unemployment declaration with Aadhaar OTP the same day, then wait for the next state DBT cycle. If several months are missing even after declarations, call 1800-5999-918 with the reference number and file the RTI above for the Khajane payment log.

Other Karnataka guarantee schemes

Yuva Nidhi is one of the state's guarantee schemes. Family members tracking the others:

Do not mix Yuva Nidhi (unemployment allowance) with Yuva Nidhi Plus skill-training notices on the same DITE site. They are different products.

Frequently asked questions

How long does approval take?

The department has not published a fixed number of days on the kaushalya page. Check Seva Sindhu weekly with the reference number. If the file is silent past a month of a complete application, call 1800-5999-918, then file RTI.

Status still says under verification. What now?

Confirm every document is uploaded, including the NAD / DigiLocker degree. Call 1800-5999-918 with the reference number. Raise a Seva Sindhu grievance. Then file RTI for the pending officer.

Approved, but no money. Why?

Check Aadhaar seeding, an active bank account, and this month's declaration on or before the 25th. Only then wait for the state DBT cycle. Yuva Nidhi is not a Union PFMS payment.

Can I apply if I passed last year?

The live department page lists passing years 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. The original guidelines were written around the 2022-23 / 2023 batch and a 180-day wait after results. Read the batch notice on Seva Sindhu for your year before you pay a cafe to apply.

What documents are needed?

Typically Aadhaar, domicile / 6-year study proof (SSLC, PUC, degree or the other routes in the guidelines), degree or diploma certificate on NAD / DigiLocker, and the Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook. Confirm the live checklist on Seva Sindhu.

What if I find a job while receiving Yuva Nidhi?

Stop the monthly unemployed declaration and inform the department. The guidelines say false declaration or failure to declare employment leads to recovery of the amount paid and legal action.

Is Yuva Nidhi Plus the same scheme?

No. Yuva Nidhi Plus on the DITE site is a skill-training notice. This page is only the unemployment allowance tracked on Seva Sindhu.

What to do in the next 30 minutes

  1. Track the application on Seva Sindhu with the reference number.
  2. Open the passbook and look for this month's credit.
  3. If you are still unemployed and have not declared this month, file the Aadhaar-OTP declaration before the 25th.
  4. If approved, seeded and declared, and still unpaid, call 1800-5999-918 and draft the RTI.
