RTI Application for marksheet verification
Drafting notes. This sample is for verifying one's own marksheet with the issuing University. The University is a public authority under Section 2(h) of the Right to Information Act, 2005. The request is for the applicant's own academic record and is normally straightforward. See Guide for applicants for procedure, fee, and appeal path.
Format

I am a citizen of India. I apply under Section 6(1) of the Right to Information Act, 2005 for the information set out below. 2. My particulars for identification of the record are as follows. Name of candidate : _____ Course or degree : _____ Roll number : _____ Registration number : _____ Year of examination : _____ Name of college : _____ 3. Please supply the following information in the form of certified copies. (i) Certified copy of my consolidated marksheet as recorded in the University records. (ii) Certified copy of the convocation register entry pertaining to my degree, showing the date of award and the signing authority. (iii) Whether the marksheet with the particulars at item 2 above has been issued by the University to the candidate. If so, the certified date of issue. (iv) If the records show that the marksheet was not issued, the certified copy of the entry or note so indicating. 4. I am enclosing the prescribed application fee of ten rupees by way of Indian Postal Order in favour of the Accounts Officer. For State-level fees, see [[:rules:start|RTI Rules]]. 5. Please send the reply to my postal address below by registered post.
