Student Scholarship — Document Checklist

Catches the missing-document mistakes that cause scholarship applications to be rejected. Eligibility varies by scholarship — always read the official notice.

1. Identity

• Aadhaar (with linked active mobile)
• Recent passport-size photo (digital + printed)
• Email address (used consistently across all applications)

2. Education proof

• 10th & 12th marksheet (whichever applies)
• Latest semester / year marksheet
• Bonafide / studying certificate from current institute (with date)
• Fee receipt for current academic year

3. Family & income

• Income certificate (state-issued, within validity)
• Father's / guardian's occupation proof (where required)
• Ration card / BPL card (if applicable)
• Self-declaration that no other overlapping scholarship is being drawn (where prescribed)

4. Category (if applicable)

• SC / ST / OBC certificate (state-issued)
• EWS certificate
• Disability certificate (UDID)
• Minority certificate (where required)

5. Bank linkage

• Bank passbook in student's own name (not parent's)
• Aadhaar-bank seeding confirmation (NPCI mapper)
• Cancelled cheque (if asked)
• Account active and KYC-up-to-date

6. Application & submission

• Note the scholarship code (e.g., on NSP — National Scholarship Portal)
• Save the application reference number after submit
• Get institute verification (DNO/INO/SNO levels) confirmed in time
• Print acknowledgement and keep with the file
