Passport Delay — Document Checklist

Saves a round-trip to Passport Seva when your grievance is missing the obvious fields.

1. Application identity

• File number / Application Reference Number (ARN)
• Appointment date + Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) / POPSK name
• Passport type (Fresh / Re-issue / Tatkal / Minor)
• Date of submission at PSK

2. Documents already submitted (keep copies)

• Aadhaar / voter ID (proof of identity)
• Proof of address — utility bill / rent agreement / bank statement
• Proof of date of birth — Aadhaar / 10th marksheet / birth certificate
• Old passport (if re-issue)
• Payment receipt with transaction reference

3. Status checks done

• Status checked on passportindia.gov.in — note the latest stage.
• Police verification status — pending / clear / adverse.
• SMS / email last received from Passport Seva (date + content).

4. Grievance to raise (in this order)

• Passport Seva grievance portal — within passportindia.gov.in. Save the docket.
• CPGRAMS (pgportal.gov.in) — escalate if no response.
• Email the Regional Passport Office (RPO) with file no. and copies of receipts.
• If urgent and travel-related — apply through Tatkal or seek "out-of-turn" issuance via RPO.
