Last reviewed: 20 August 2026. Portals checked against nsap.dord.gov.in, swavlambancard.gov.in, and depwd.gov.in. Disability pension is not one central application portal.
Quick answer: Search IGNDPS pension payments on nsap.dord.gov.in and track the UDID card on swavlambancard.gov.in. If either file is stuck, file RTI under §6(1) with the District Social Welfare Officer or the CMO. A reply is due in 30 days under §7(1).
If you only have 2 minutes: open the NSAP pension-payment search and the UDID tracker, write down the application or sanction number, then draft RTI with the AI RTI Drafter if credit or the card has not moved. Read The RTI Playbook for the 30-day clock.
This page is not about defence or civil-service disability pension. Those sit with PCDA / the service department. For NSAP restoration wording see also RTI for NSAP pension.
The Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme (IGNDPS) is one sub-scheme of the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP), administered by the Ministry of Rural Development and implemented by States and Union Territories. It is a monthly DBT pension for eligible persons with severe or multiple disability who belong to a BPL household.
The Unique Disability ID (UDID / Swavlamban card) is the national disability identity card and e-certificate issued through swavlambancard.gov.in by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). It is not the pension itself. Many state welfare desks now ask for it, but IGNDPS eligibility is still the NSAP test, not the 40 per cent UDID benchmark.
Step 1 — Track the UDID / Swavlamban card
Step 2 — Track IGNDPS payment on NSAP
Step 3 — Use the State surface as well
There is no single national form that sanctions IGNDPS in every district. Identification and sanction are State work (panchayat / municipal / District Social Welfare / e-District). If NSAP search is blank, check:
| Detail | Where you find it |
|---|---|
| UDID enrolment / application number | Receipt, SMS, or UDID tracker |
| Pension sanction / application number | Welfare office acknowledgement or NSAP search |
| Aadhaar-seeded bank account | Passbook / bank KYC |
| Disability percentage and type | UDID / disability certificate |
| BPL / SECC / state poverty list status | Ration card or the list your State still uses |
| Status / problem | What it usually means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| UDID Under Process / Not Verified | Pending with verifying officer or Medical Board | Visit CMO; RTI for board date and pending officer |
| Pending medical assessment | Slot not given | Ask the CMO office in writing / RTI |
| UDID Card Generated | e-card and e-certificate are ready | Download from swavlambancard.gov.in |
| NSAP search shows no payment | Sanction pending, State not on that MIS, or DBT failed | Check State portal and bank seeding; RTI on sanction |
| Account / KYC mismatch | Aadhaar not seeded or account dormant | Fix KYC at the bank; tell the welfare office |
| Rejected | Turned down | Ask for the written reason; appeal or re-apply |
Generate a filled draft with the AI RTI Drafter. Track 30 days with the Timeline Tracker. If the PIO is silent, use the First Appeal Builder.
To The Public Information Officer Office of the District Social Welfare Officer / Chief Medical Officer [District, State] Subject: Information under Section 6(1) of the RTI Act, 2005 — IGNDPS / UDID file [NUMBER] I am a citizen of India. Name: [NAME]. UDID / enrolment number: [NUMBER]. Pension sanction / application number: [NUMBER]. 1. Current status of my UDID application and / or IGNDPS pension file, with the date the file was received. 2. Name, designation and sitting of the official with whom the file is pending, and from which date. 3. For UDID: date of Medical Board assessment, if any, or the reason no date has been given. 4. For pension: last three months of recorded DBT / sanction status, and the reason any month was not credited. 5. Certified copies of the noting / order sheet on my file. 6. If any part is held by another public authority, transfer that part under Section 6(3) and inform me. Please provide the information within 30 days under Section 7(1). If denied, state the clause and inform me of the first-appeal right under Section 19(1). [Name, address, mobile]
Typical stuck file. NSAP search is blank and the UDID tracker still shows under process. The applicant photographs both screens, visits the CMO with the enrolment number, then files the RTI above asking for the Medical Board date and the pension-sanction noting. A dated reply names the pending officer. Use that name in a first appeal under §19(1) if the 30-day clock runs out.
Start at NSAP pension payment detail with the sanction or application number. Also check your State social-welfare / e-District site and the bank credit. NSAP-PPS does not list every State the same way.
Open Track Your Application and enter enrolment / UDID / request number, mobile or Aadhaar, as the form asks.
The central share, confirmed by nsap.dord.gov.in, CAG Report No. 10 of 2023 and Lok Sabha reply 3745 of 12 August 2025, is ₹300 a month (18–79) and ₹500 a month (80 and above). States add a top-up. Confirm your state figure on the state portal or passbook.
UDID / RPwD benchmark disability is 40 per cent under §2®. IGNDPS central guidelines use 80 per cent severe or multiple disability plus BPL. A State may run a separate pension at a lower percentage from its own funds — read that State's rule.
Failed DBT, dormant account, or Aadhaar not seeded are common. Fix the bank first. Then RTI the welfare office for the last payment return reason.
Yes. File under §6(1) with the CMO / Medical Authority. They must reply in 30 days under §7(1).
File a first appeal under §19(1) with the First Appellate Authority in the same office. Use the First Appeal Builder.
No. NSAP is the central scheme dashboard. Sanction and extra State pension live on State welfare / e-District systems. Ignore ads that sell a “central disability pension card”.
