e-NAM
Register at enam.gov.in — Aadhaar + bank + Mobile + Land record.
Visit nearest e-NAM mandi to onboard.
Sell your crop with quality assayed → online auction → buyer pays via DBT.
Common mistakes
Land record not in your name — for PM-KISAN, the landholding farmer must be the beneficiary. Joint family land needs mutation in your name.
PM-KISAN exclusion clauses missed — all-India income tax payer in last AY, government employee, doctor/lawyer/CA, MP/MLA — these disqualify even small/marginal farmers.
Taking PMFBY then claiming damage too late — claim within 72 hours of damage event. Delay = denial.
KCC limit too small — banks often sanction less than entitlement. Re-apply with full landholding + cropping pattern.
Selling on e-NAM without assaying — quality grade affects price; insist on assay.
FAQ
I'm a tenant farmer. Am I eligible for PM-KISAN?
Generally no — PM-KISAN goes to the landholding farmer. Some states have begun including tenants via formal Lease Cultivation Certificate systems (e.g., Andhra Pradesh, Odisha). Check with your state's Agriculture Department.
PMFBY claim was denied. What can I do?
File RTI with the implementing insurance company (HDFC Ergo, Agriculture Insurance Co, etc.) for: (a) damage assessment report, (b) CCE (crop-cutting experiment) results for your village, © reasons for denial. First Appeal under §19(1) in 30 days if PIO doesn't reply.
KCC interest rate is 9%. Why was I told 4%?
Effective rate is 4% if you pay on time. Calculation: 9% nominal − 2% interest subvention − 3% prompt repayment subvention = 4%. Default = 9% applies retroactively.
Can I have KCC + PMFBY?
Yes — they're stackable. KCC loanees are auto-enrolled in PMFBY (premium debited at sowing). Non-loanees must enrol separately.
I sold on e-NAM but payment delayed. What can I do?
File complaint at the APMC mandi + state e-NAM portal. Settlement is T+1 day by rule; delay = file RTI to State Agriculture Marketing Board.
What is the MSP for wheat 2026?
₹2,425/quintal for rabi 2025-26 marketing season (announced June 2025). Updated at https://farmer.gov.in or PIB.
Can I get the Soil Health Card multiple times?
Yes — free re-test every 2 years. The card includes recommendations valid for that period. Re-test sooner if crop yields drop unexpectedly.
What does MGNREGA pay for digging a well on my own farm?
Yes — well digging on small/marginal farmer's own land is permitted under MGNREGA. Wages + materials covered up to ₹3 lakh. Apply via Gram Panchayat with own-land proof.
