Documents required for MGNREGA job card (2026 checklist)

• Application form (state-specific) — Available free at Gram Panchayat office
• Aadhaar of family head — Required for ID + DBT routing
• Aadhaar of all adult family members (16+) — For inclusion as job card members
• Photographs of all adult members — 4×6 cm, white background, recent — Gram Panchayat photographs free
• Residence proof — Voter ID / Ration card / Electricity bill / Aadhaar (with rural address)
• Bank account details — Aadhaar-linked for DBT wage payment
• Self-declaration of unemployment — On Form A1 — declaring willingness to do unskilled manual work

• Caste certificate — For SC/ST priority + reservation in works
• Disability certificate — For PwD-specific work assignments
• Migration declaration — For families recently moved to gram panchayat
• Old job card — For renewal / inter-panchayat transfer

• FREE — no fee anywhere. Beware agents demanding money.
• Cannot be denied — Section 3 of MGNREGA mandates issuance within 15 days. If denied, file RTI to BDO + complaint to State Lokpal MGNREGA.
• Validity: 5 years; renewable.

• Both spouses can be on same card; single mother can be family head.
