Module 03 — Section 6 — Request Procedure

Section 6 governs the RTI request procedure: any citizen may apply in writing or electronic form; Section 6(2) bars the PIO from asking the applicant's motive; Section 6(3) requires transfer to the correct PIO within 5 days where the information lies elsewhere. The Central fee is Rs 10; below-poverty-line applicants are fully fee-exempt.
