Kanya Sumangala application status check in Uttar Pradesh

Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is maintained by the Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Women Welfare. Use only the mksy.up.gov.in portal. A video, local operator or status site may show an old benefit table or ask for credentials it should not receive.

MKSY is specific to Uttar Pradesh. Do not transfer its stages or eligibility rules to another State: for example, Odisha's separate programme has its own Subhadra Yojana status guide.

The official scheme homepage lists six one-time stages. The current amounts reviewed on 29 August 2026 are:

The six published amounts total Rs 25,000, but they are milestone-linked payments, not a single automatic grant. The applicant must use the stage that matches the girl child's current record and portal conditions.

The official MKSY eligibility page lists these core conditions:

1. the beneficiary's family must be resident in Uttar Pradesh and have accepted residence proof;
2. annual family income must be no more than Rs 3 lakh;
3. ordinarily a maximum of two girls in one family receive the benefit;
4. ordinarily the family must have no more than two children;
5. the stated second-delivery twin-girl exception can cover a third girl; and
6. a lawfully adopted orphan girl may be included, within the portal's maximum-beneficiary rule.

Read the full current wording before applying. Do not compress the twin or adoption exception into “every third girl is eligible”. Stage-specific birth date, immunisation and academic-session conditions also apply.

Open mksy.up.gov.in and use Citizen Services. This avoids stale bookmarks. The portal currently routes to the Women Welfare service and offers registration, Login ID recovery and password recovery.

Use the Login ID and password created during registration. Complete the CAPTCHA and any OTP step presented by the live portal. Never give the password or OTP to a person claiming to be a “status officer”.

If you lost the Login ID, use the official Find Your Login ID page. Use the official password-recovery link from the login page instead of opening a new family registration.

A family can contain more than one eligible girl and each girl can have multiple stage entries. Match the MKSY/family number, name, date of birth and milestone. Save a PDF or screenshot showing:

1. family/Login ID or masked application reference;
2. girl-child record;
3. stage applied for;
4. submission date;
5. present status; and
6. deficiency, objection or payment message.

Redact Aadhaar, bank details, mobile number and date of birth before sharing the screenshot outside the grievance channel.

“Submitted” may mean the stage request was created. “Verified” may refer to document scrutiny. “Approved” may show sanction but not bank credit. Record the exact portal words rather than translating every positive-looking status into “money sent”.

If payment is shown, look for the transaction or payment reference offered by the portal and reconcile it with the beneficiary's bank statement. Do not post the account number in a public complaint.

The live form and official citizen-process guide control the exact upload list. Prepare records appropriate to the stage, such as:

1. family and Uttar Pradesh residence proof;
2. annual-income proof/declaration required by the portal;
3. parent/guardian and girl-child identity records;
4. birth registration details for the birth stage;
5. immunisation record for Stage 2;
6. current school admission/enrolment proof for Stages 3–5;
7. Class 10/12 result and current degree/diploma admission proof for Stage 6;
8. lawful adoption record where the exception is claimed; and
9. beneficiary bank record in the format requested.

Do not upload the same school certificate for every stage or alter a PDF to fit. The official registration page notes that birth-registration integration is mandatory in the relevant flow; correct the civil record rather than inventing a number.

No official universal processing deadline was verified for every stage. A delay assessment should compare the portal's current timeline or scheme order with your submission date, not a number copied from a forum.

Start with the contact/grievance channel published on the MKSY portal or the district Women Welfare office handling the record. Send:

1. masked family/MKSY and stage reference;
2. submission and last-update dates;
3. exact current status;
4. the deficiency already cured, if any;
5. bank-credit evidence for a payment complaint; and
6. the precise action requested: status correction, document review, reasoned order or payment trace.

Ask for a diary/complaint number. If the portal fails, attach a timestamped screenshot and browser-neutral details; do not claim that a particular browser is officially required.

For records held by the Directorate or district public authority, RTI may seek the date-wise processing sheet, verification report, deficiency memo, sanction/rejection order, payment instruction and return/failure record. The current citizen login displays Login ID, password and CAPTCHA fields and may use an OTP step. Use the registered account and the official recovery links.

The six amounts currently published by the official portal—Rs 5,000, 2,000, 3,000, 3,000, 5,000 and 7,000—total Rs 25,000. Each is tied to a separate milestone and conditions.

Use the official Login ID and password recovery tools first. Duplicate family records can split applications and complicate verification.

No universal stage-processing time was verified from the current public portal. Use any current scheme order applicable to your stage and ask the office for its workflow if delayed.
