Own Aadhaar-seeding status in a welfare scheme is disclosable to the account holder; third-party seeding data protected.
A welfare-scheme beneficiary is entitled to know his/her own Aadhaar-seeding status in that scheme's database. Third-party seeding data and the Aadhaar number itself remain absolutely protected under §8(1)(j) read with §§28, 33 of the Aadhaar Act, 2016 and the DPDP Act, 2023.
